Thank you for taking part in #HappyPostSwap on Instagram. When I first started using the gram back in 2011, there were swaps happening quite often and I took part in lots of different ones. It was always fun to plan and put together, and then receive a little surprise package in the post, as well as connect with other people via social media.

So, I thought I would revive the retro Insta fun and after putting something up on my stories, there were quite a few people who said they would like to take part…so here we are.

The idea is simple, there is an overall budget of £10 set; you need to sign up (by making a £2 donation to Tommys by following this link to Gabriel’s fundraising page   Please leave a comment when you make your donation with your instagram name; then going back to the original sign up post on Instagram and leaving a little watermelon emoji comment.

Once sign up is closed, you will be paired with someone else who has signed up and then all you have to do is connect with the person you are paired with. Once you know a bit about them, put together a surprise package (based on the theme and within a budget of £8-after making the £2 donation) and pop it in the post (by a set date), finally share on Instagram on reveal day with the hashtag #HappyPostSwap.

This is the last Happy Post Swap of 2018 and with it being just before Christmas, of course the theme had to be Festive Fun.

Since starting Happy Post Swap, £150 has been raised for Tommy’s which is just amazing. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported #GabrielsGift and helped spread a little Insta love.

There is a link here for a downloadable card, if you’d like to print it off and pop it in your December festive parcel, please do 🙂

The theme for our second #HappyPostSwap in ‘Walking on Sunshine’. You can interpret it however you like, just thinking of all things summer.

I have made a card, which you can download from here to print and pop in your happy post-if you’d like to.

This is the first time I have incorporated an element of fundraising but I thought it would add another layer of kindness to the idea of giving. The 14th of each month (the day the Happy Post Swap posts are put up) is also Gabriel’s monthly milestone, so it’s nice to have a little part of him included too.

I hope you have lots of fun getting your post ready to send and I look forward to seeing everything being shared in a few weeks (remember to use the #happypostswap tag so we can all see.)

The theme for our very first swap is ‘Bee Nice to Yourself’. Self care is so important and I thought it would be lovely to receive a little bundle to help you be nice to yourself, from someone else who is just as nice.

I have created a printable card, which if you would like to include in you happy post, it can be downloaded here. (It will print on A4 paper, just cut it in half and fold for a little gift card.)

On reveal day, a little doodle colouring page, designed by Doodle Pop! will be uploaded here too as an extra little treat.

I hope you have lots of fun putting together a little parcel of happiness and connecting with someone new through the little squares.

Happy posting!
